Jessica Avalon has evaluation and research experience in a variety of different country contexts, including Ethiopia, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, and Indonesia. Most recently, Jessica worked for the UK Department for International Development in South Sudan, and in their Climate & Environment, and Asia Regional teams. Jessica has volunteered as an election monitor in Myanmar and Timor Leste, and in Australian legal aid organisations. At present, Jessica is completing her Masters in Evaluation at the University of Melbourne. She also holds a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Hons) and Bachelor of Asia Pacific Studies from the Australian National University.
Jessica joined Humanitarian Advisory Group as a Leader in January 2020. She will be putting her evaluation and research expertise to use on a variety of HAG projects, including the Humanitarian Horizons research stream Diverse Humanitarian Leadership.
