Eranda brings with him over 10 years of experience in research, project management and partnership building in the humanitarian and development sectors. He is passionate about creating more equitable and efficient humanitarian and development systems, and leads the localisation research stream at HAG.
Eranda previously worked with the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) delivering coordination, project management and partnerships support for UNOPS activities across South Asia. He also functioned as the MEAL, reporting and communications focal point for the UNOPS South Asia office. Eranda was also part of the UNOPS Applied Research Unit working on research and evaluation projects across a range of thematic areas. Before joining HAG, Eranda also worked at Deakin University providing analytical and coordination support to an internal process improvement program.
Eranda holds a Master’s in Development and Humanitarian Action from Deakin University and a BSc (Honours) in Environmental Science from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
