Eranda Wijewickrama

Executive | Seeker | Pragmatist

Eranda was the first left-hander to work at HAG and brings his analytical and coordination expertise, backed with 15 years of experience in research, project management and partnership building in the humanitarian and development sectors. He drives the localisation portfolio at HAG where he consistently tackles challenging questions around creating more equitable and efficient humanitarian and development systems. Eranda is also currently working with our partners in the areas of Anticipatory Action and Civil-Military coordination. In addition to his research work, Eranda also plays a planning and oversight role in risk and financial management at HAG.

Eranda’s career journey includes coordination roles at United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) where he provided partnership development, MEAL, reporting and communications, and project management support for UNOPS activities across South Asia. Eranda was also part of the UNOPS Applied Research Unit working on research and evaluation projects across a range of thematic and geographic areas. Before joining HAG, Eranda also worked at Deakin University providing analytical and coordination support to an internal process improvement program.

Eranda holds a Master’s in Development and Humanitarian Action from Deakin University and a BSc (Honours) in Environmental Science from the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
