Madeline is interested in the state of the humanitarian system, what the future holds for it and how we can support a system of change. She brings over 12 years’ experience in international development and humanitarian response and has a strong skill set ranging from designing and managing humanitarian programs to monitoring and evaluation and partnership brokering.
Madeline has experience managing multifaceted and international teams and working across different contexts in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, North America, Australia and the Pacific. Madeline has specific field experience in disaster response, conflict and refugee settings and has worked with a diverse range of partners such as the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Global Affairs Canada, Caritas, Catholic Relief Services, Plan International, UN agencies, Asian Development Bank, World Bank and other local civil society actors. More recently, Madeline has focused her work on localisation and the changes facing the humanitarian system, working with partners in Australia and the Pacific. She brings experience to the leader role on localisation, monitoring and evaluation at the Humanitarian Advisory Group.
Madeline has a Master of International Law and International Relations and a Bachelor of Social Science and Policy Making from the University of New South Wales.
