When she’s not at the Australian Open or watching the Matildas, Sara is the Research and Planning Coordinator at Humanitarian Advisory Group. Her journey into the world of research began with Monash Gender, Peace and Security Research Centre, where she discovered her favourite topics of study: a mixture of gender, foreign policy, leadership, and humanitarian crises. At HAG, Sara continues her journey not only into a diverse range of research but also M&E projects, including research on gender and inclusion in the humanitarian sector, the impacts of COVID-19 on how the sector operates and technical support for government aid programs across Afghanistan, Myanmar, and Bangladesh. Sara completed a Master of International Relations at Monash University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts (International Studies & French), and a Diploma of Languages (Spanish) – yet another hidden talent that lets her pronounce the letter ‘R’ in three completely different ways.
Sara’s recent works include:
- COVID-19 Pacific and Timor-Leste Preparedness and Recovery NGO Partnership: Final Evaluation Report
- The Beginning of the Road: A Practical Approach to Defining and Measuring Localisation Impact for Communities
- Leading from Offstage: A Regional Synthesis of Women’s Leadership and Participation in COVID-19 Response and Recovery in Asia
