In Pakistan, a sudden cloudburst in the northern mountainous regions triggered catastrophic flash floods and landslides. Communities such as those in Buner District (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) reported that water and debris struck ‘within seconds,’ destroying homes and livelihoods.
