Humanitarian actors and emergency responders have a responsibility to ensure people most at risk – including women and girls, people with disability, and marginalised and minority groups – can access assistance and shape decisions that affect their lives.
HAG supports governments, local and international NGOs, donors, academia and the private sector to integrate equity and inclusion into policy, planning and operations.
Through research and advisory work, we explore complex socio-cultural and gender dynamics, helping actors navigate these challenges with locally informed and evidence-based approaches.
The Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda is a growing focus for HAG, with our research exploring gender-sensitive and community-led protection strategies, as well as the integration of cybersecurity and digital safety into WPS policy and practice.
