Seeta Giri has worked progressively, for over twenty years, in various policy advisory and programme management positions with the United Nations and INGO. She comes with a comprehensive background in the field of Climate Adaptation, Disaster Risk Reduction and Crisis Response. Seeta has over fifteen years of field-based experience leading post crisis response and recovery with the United Nations in Afghanistan, Cambodia, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Serbia, Sierra Leone, Nepal and Pakistan.
Besides other professional affiliations with Universities and research institutions, Seeta is currently serving as a member to the Advisory Board of the Culture and Disaster Action Network (CADAN). Seeta has a special interest in humanitarian-development nexus and resilience building in post-crisis response and recovery.
